"they can go in and say i've got experience, i know how to do the things you require. we also help them through that process and help them find those jobs and help them work and learn the skills neccesary at that particular place and then they're off and running." as many in our community feel they've fallen on hard times, its not everyone. if you are fortunate enough to find your self in the good times, spending some of that at charities like the back pack program and kids aid can spread the good for everyone, brandon thompson reporting... r opg ear thissping,ew ptria brge iw fuonal b halad ccting the north and south sides of orchard mesa.... news channel 5's rebecca hykin attended this morning's ribbon cutting ceremony and she joins us now live in the newsroom... so, rebecca was anyone there ready to hit the trail? john, yes, there were some cyclists and walkers ready to see what the view was like from the top... including myself... federal, state, and local agencies teamed up from the original idea to the ribbon cutting ceremony we were able to take an unused portion of the bridge and convert that into bike and pedestrian space that was instrumental and be able to create a safe pedestrian and bike space. mayor rick taggart says he wants to thank the colorado department of transportatio n administered fund, school district 51, and the urban trails committee. school district 51 will now allow for the students living on the north side
